DMS WELCOMES BACK 7th & 8th Graders
The DMS faculty and staff are excited to welcome our 7th & 8th grade students on Monday, April 12, and Thursday, April 15. We have truly missed our students and can’t wait to see their smiling faces when they return.
We have a few important reminders; prior to your child’s departure from home, please remember to perform a symptom check daily. Students should not be sent to school if they are exhibiting symptoms. See Daily Health Check.
The students will not be permitted to enter the building before 7:45 am. Once they enter, students choosing to eat breakfast will report directly to the cafeteria for a Grab-n-Go breakfast. All other students will report directly to their 1st-period class. Please remember to print a copy of your schedule to locate your first period class. Staff will be available to assist.
Prior to your student(s) return, we would like to invite all students and parents to view the Student/Parent Orientation Presentation. The video presentation will provide families with an overview of the DMS expectations for student return and what to expect on the first day. If your student will be utilizing transportation, please check the HCPSS Bus Locator for bus stop location and time. In addition, print your student’s schedule from HCPSS Connect.
We are looking forward to seeing our final group of students return. Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing weekend.
Sincerely,
Antoinette Roberson
Principal
Important Message for Car Riders
This is a reminder to parents: in the morning, students should be dropped off at the stop sign at the beginning of the middle school parking lot, across from Northfield Elementary. Parents are not allowed to drive onto the parking lot when the busses are lined up; you must wait for the busses to leave the campus before you can proceed.
Thank You,
DMS Bus/Car Pool Team
